Steve Carr – Surviving family grief, homelessness, a nervous breakdown and 3 suicide attempts

Steve experienced childhood trauma and inexplicable grief after losing his brother unexpectedly, the innocent victim of a reckless driver whose car mounted a roundabout and landed upside down on five innocent children. The driver not only killed his brother but also all four of his friends who were sitting quietly on a park bench.

Without any allowance or counselling for grief at such a young age, Steve was going to suffer greatly with his mental health later in life, he just didn’t know how or when. It eventually came in the shape of homelessness, drug and alcohol addiction, a nervous breakdown and three suicide attempts.
